FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Investigators with the FWPD are trying to figure out what led up to a man’s death in a Canterbury Green apartment.
Around 5:25 p.m. on Friday, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to an apartment in the 5600 block of Woodshire Drive on reports of an unresponsive person.
When crews arrived, they found the man inside the apartment, and paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
Right now, investigators say they have very few details about his death.
FWPD officials released the following:
On Friday April 1, 2022 at approximately 5:25 PM the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to an apartment located in the 5600 block of Woodshire Drive in reference to an unresponsive person. As officers and paramedics arrived on the scene, they located an adult male inside an apartment unresponsive. Paramedics pronounced the male to be deceased.
Investigators from the Fort Wayne Police Department’s Crime Scene arrived on the scene to process the scene and collect evidence. At this time, investigators have very little details regarding the incident.
The victim’s identity as well as the exact cause and manner of death will be released at a later time by the Allen County Coroner’s Office. This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
