GRANT CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The Grant County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a death investigation after authorities found a man’s body in a dumpster Saturday.
At approximately 7:47 p.m., police received a call about a man inside a dumpster in the 3900 block of Delta Drive west of Marion.
When deputies and emergency medical services arrived, they found the man dead inside the reported dumpster.
Officials with the Grant Count Sheriff released the following:
On August 19, 2023, at 7:47 PM, the Grant County Central Dispatch received a call about a person in a dumpster in the 3900 block of Delta Drive. Deputies, along with Marion Health Emergency Medical Services, were dispatched to the scene, and upon arrival of E.M.S., it was determined that the person was deceased.
Detectives from the Sheriffs Office began a death investigation and identified the deceased as Timothy Bragg, 63 years old, of Marion, whose residence is in the area.
An Autopsy was completed (Monday) morning at the Fort Wayne Forensic Center, and it appears Mr. Bragg died of natural causes pending toxicology.
However, no foul play is suspected due to physical evidence at the scene and no apparent signs of trauma to the deceased; the Grant County Sheriff’s Office is still conducting an investigation.
