HARTFORD CITY, Ind. (ADAMS) – The Blackford County prosecutor’s office has reached a plea agreement with 45-year-old Kevin Kearney, who was charged in July 2022 with attempted murder.
Kearney was accused of trying to kill his wife at the city’s Hoover Park, and she told police the gun malfunctioned.
The former Muncie resident pleaded guilty this week to attempted voluntary manslaughter and faces a maximum of 30 years in prison.
