ALLEN CO., Ind. (ADAMS) A student at Perry Hill Elementary in the Northwest Allen County Schools was caught with a handgun in the school on Wednesday.
The student has been suspended, and NACS superintendent Wayne Barker says expulsion for the student is pending.
He says in a notice to families that officials do not think the student intended to injure anyone but adds that the “seriousness of the offense” must be dealt with. The gun was found in the student’s backpack after another student found a bullet on the playground.
