FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Fort Wayne police are investigating the shooting deaths of two people who were found last night. The two were found inside what police call an “unsecured” home in the 3200 block of Stonebrook Place around 8:45 Monday night.
The man and woman were pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is ongoing, but police say there is no threat to the public.
THE FWPD released the following:
Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the 3200 block of Stonebrook Pl on the report of an unsecured residence on May 5, 2025, at approximately 8:45 pm. Officers arrived at the home to locate the door to the residence partially open. Receiving no response from inside the home, officers began to check the residence. Officers located an adult female and an adult male inside the home. Both appeared to have succumbed to injuries from apparent gunshot wounds. Officers secured the scene, and the Homicide Unit was contacted. There is no threat to public safety.
Detectives are speaking to witnesses, attempting to locate surveillance videos, and crime scene technicians are collecting evidence. This incident remains under investigation by FWPD Homicide Unit, the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office, and the Allen County Coroner’s Office.
