FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The annual Drinking Water Quality Report from City Utilities has been mailed or emailed, depending on how customers receive their bill, and will arrive soon.
City Utilities’ chemists conduct extensive tests on water for more than 120 substances at all stages in the water treatment process. The annual report showcases the results for several substances regulated by the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM). This thorough testing, along with our employees’ continuous adjustments to the treatment process, ensures that the water leaving the Plant is safe and great tasting.

Testing for Drinking Water Safety. City Utilities tests drinking water for safety and quality throughout the water treatment process. Continuous monitoring of the water that comes from the St. Joseph River helps operators at the plant adjust the treatment process to the most effective level based on incoming water conditions.
