FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – The City of Fort Wayne says that the Towpath Trail from Covington Road to Smith Road will be closed Thursday, September 11 to allow crews to reseal the entire length and width of that section of the trail. Barricades will be placed.
The trail is expected to reopen on Monday, September 15, after the sealer has cured properly.
The Pufferbelly Trail will also be closed on September 11 from the Cookie Cottage to Carroll Road. Crews will be crack sealing sections along the trail. The Pufferbelly Trail is expected to reopen by Saturday morning, September 13.
The City asked that people avoid riding or walking on areas that have been sealed until sealer has time to cure properly.
