ALLEN CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – One man is hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after a crash in Allen County on Sunday afternoon.
A Toyota Prius and a Chevrolet van collided around 2:15 p.m. at the intersection of Lafayette Center Road and Fogwell Parkway near the General Motors factory. The man who was driving the Toyota was badly hurt, and the van driver is also being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Alcohol is believed to have been a factor.
The Allen County Sheriff’s Department released the following:
On December 14th, 2025, at approximately 14:14 hours, officers with the Allen County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of a crash involving a Chevrolet Express Van and a Toyota Prius at the intersection of Lafayette Center Road and Fogwell Parkway.
Upon arrival, officers and medics located both vehicles involved in the crash. Preliminary investigation indicates both vehicles were traveling eastbound on Lafayette Center Road when the Chevrolet Express Van struck the Toyota Prius. Alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash. The male driver of the Toyota Prius is believed to be in life-threatening condition, while the male driver of the Chevrolet Express Van is believed to be in non-life-threatening condition.
This incident remains under investigation by the Allen County Sheriff’s Department.
