INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Republican Nick McKinley has taken the oath of office as a state senator. Chief Justice Loretta Rush administered the oath to him yesterday as the Indiana Senate started its session.
McKinley was elected by a Republican Party caucus to replace former Senator Andy Zay, who resigned effective January 8th after he was appointed to be the chairman of the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission. He is seeking a full four-year term in the Indiana Senate in the November election.

MARION, Ind. (ADAMS) – Nick McKinley will be sworn in to the Indiana Senate on Monday to succeed Senator Andy Zay in the 17th District.
Zay resigned in December to take a job with the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission after being appointed to that post by Governor Mike Braun.
McKinley will be on the Republican Party’s primary ballot in May for the Indiana Senate.
