FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – A 29-year-old woman from Kalamazoo in southwest Michigan is charged with obstruction of justice in a deadly Fort Wayne shooting.
Kristina Burch was arraigned this week and had originally been charged with the murder of 19-year-old Damion Jacobs, who was shot and killed on January 28th. Burch told police that Jacobs and an unknown woman tried to rob her, and the unknown woman shot and killed Jacobs when her bullet missed Burch.
She is accused of throwing his phone out of her car window while driving, giving his gun to a friend, trading in her phone for a new number, and cleaning blood from the car before returning it to the rental company.
