ALLEN CO., Ind. (ADAMS) – The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced the beginning of pavement replacement construction on I-469.
Starting on or after March 9, crews will be working on I-469 between Wheelock Road and U.S. 24.
Construction on these project areas is expected to be complete by the end of November.
INDOT released the following:
Construction this season includes:
Southbound I-469 from Wheelock Road to State Road 37/Maysville Road
Northbound I-469 from the Maumee River to the railroad tracks just south of Exit 25, the exit for S.R. 37/Maysville Road
Watch for lane shifts and width restrictions in both construction areas.
On or after March 16, work on the northbound side will begin. The on-ramp from westbound U.S. 24 to northbound I-469 will close at this for approximately one month. Approximately one to two months after construction begins, the off-ramp from southbound I-469 to S.R. 37/Maysville Road will close and is scheduled to reopen two to three months later.
All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
INDOT encourages drivers to consider safety for all by slowing down, using extra caution and driving distraction-free when travelling in and around all work zones.
