FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – If you had a live Christmas tree this year, you’ll want to note this announcement.
City Utilities said on Monday that you can dispose of your live tree at the Lake Avenue Biosolids facility for free.

Residents wanting to dispose of their holiday tree can do so for free by taking it to the City Utilities’ Biosolids facility at 6202 Lake Avenue. All decorative items must be removed prior to dropping off.
The Biosolids facility’s winter hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and it is closed on Saturday and Sunday. Biosolids will also be closed on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2026.
