INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (ADAMS) – Over $4 million in federal grants supporting Indiana’s recovery from severe storms last spring have been approved. The Federal Emergency Management Agency approved the grants after the state had a series of storms, flooding, and tornadoes in April. Twenty-one twisters were spawned in the April 2nd storm, and Indiana had 43 tornadoes for all of 2025. Governor Mike Braun says the money will “make a major difference by reimbursing communities for all the work they’ve done to repair roads, restore power services, and rebuild critical infrastructure.”
