FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – A new study from the Steuben County Economic Development Corporation on a new casino in the Fort Wayne area shows that most of the gamblers would be visiting from outside Indiana.
The feasibility study says the casino located near the borders with Michigan and Ohio would draw a lot of attention from both of those states. Allen and DeKalb counties were also included in the bill passed in February for locating a casino in northeast Indiana.
The company that wins the license would be required to spend at least $500 million on the casino and amenities in the first five years and pay the state a $150 million fee.
