Miley Cyrus has returned with Bass Persuades, a 10-track album that mixes dance-pop energy with softer, more reflective moments. Released September 18, the project also marks her first album for Atlantic Records and is being promoted under the shortened professional name Miley.
The new release features contributions from Kid Harpoon, Maxx Morando and Michael Pollack, while Model/Actriz appears on Different Religion and Andrew Wyatt joins Miley on Neon Signs. The tracklist moves through several styles rather than staying focused on one sound, shifting from electronic production and prominent bass lines to acoustic textures, synth-driven ballads and melodic pop.
Songs including Let’s Get Married, Orbit, Aftermath, REDLIGHTS, Innocent Ways and Snow give the album a varied character, while a remix of the title track closes the project.
The release follows Something Beautiful and continues a busy creative period for Miley. She is also scheduled to bring the new material to the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles for two performances in October.
