COLUMBUS, Ohio (ADAMS) – The Ohio Department of Health and the Ohio Lottery is preparing to open the Vax-2-School initiative to children five and older.
A state spokesperson said yesterday that once the CDC officially recommends the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for children five years and older, they will expand the Vax-2-School program to those age groups.
The Vax-2-School program is currently available to vaccinated Ohio students ages 12 through 25 and will award $2 million dollars in scholarships.
The CDC is expected to release its recommendation this week.
