GAS CITY, Ind. (ADAMS) – An armed robbery suspect in Grant County is looking at an extra charge after police say he stabbed a police dog in the chest.
It happened about three a.m. at a gas station in Gas City. A Grant County deputy arrived with his dog, Kiro, and helped track down the suspect. Investigators say the deputy released the dog, who chased the suspect down. That’s when they say the suspect stabbed the dog in the chest.
Kiro is expected to make a full recovery, meanwhile, the still unidentified suspect is being held on a list of charges.
