FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – Mayor Sharon Tucker will be participating in a special ceremony at 1 p.m. on Memorial Day, Monday, May 26, at the Veterans National Memorial Shrine & Museum, 2122 O’Day Road. The event is open to the public.
Rolling Thunder, Inc., Indiana Chapter 1 will be in Fort Wayne for the third year in a row in recognition of Memorial Day. This year marks the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War.
At the Memorial Day event, the Chapter will unveil and dedicate a four-foot black granite POW/MIA bench at the Veterans National Memorial Shrine & Museum.
This event coincides with Rolling Thunder’s Ride for Freedom that will depart from Harley-Davidson of Fort Wayne, 6315 Illinois Rd, at around noon to go to the Veterans National Memorial Shrine & Museum.
