FORT WAYNE, Ind. (ADAMS) – A Fort Wayne man is facing charges of possession of a destructive device.
Glen Monday was arrested yesterday when police were sent to his home in the 1500 block of Franklin Avenue for a mental health crisis. They found the device when they went into the home to help him. The bomb squad was called to the scene and police say they also seized guns from the home.

Details/Summary: Officers of the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to reports of a subject suffering from a mental health crisis in the 1500 block of Franklin Ave. Once inside the home officers observed what they believed to be a destructive device. The officers detained the suspect and backed out of the home to call for the Hazards Devices Unit (HDU). HDU entered the home where they secured the device rendering it inert. Officers also collected firearms that were in plain view under Indiana’s “Red Flag” law. The suspect was transported to a local hospital for medical clearance and ultimately booked into the Allen County Lock-up for Lvl 5 Felony Possession of a Destructive Device. There is no further threat to the public at this time.
